Nonviolence Training
(see also Creative Peacemaking Tools)
EPF seeks to address confusion, ambivalence, fear and hatred, by helping individuals and groups cultivate the spirituality and everyday practice of active nonviolence. EPF also has launched two special projects in cooperation with the Diocese of Haiti and with Episcopal Native Peoples.
EPF provides counsel and guidance to groups and individuals seeking to host nonviolence training whether it be an introductory session, a day long session or a 3 day session. We promote curricula that are fully participatory, reflective and experiential. We will direct you to the training that will best meet your needs in terms of time, costs, and the issues you would like to address. Please call or write us today to discuss how we can assist you, your parish, diocese or community to bring in nonviolence training. 312-922-8628
We encourage our members and all people of faith to seek out active nonviolence training. EPF member General Convention Deputies have sponsored and passed several resolutions calling the National Church to endorse and support nonviolence Training in provinces, dioceses, congregations and institutions of the Episcopal Church.
Take Action:
1. Call EPF to discuss the best plans for your group hosting a nonviolence retreat;
2. Host a nonviolence retreat
3. Support our work with Native Peoples and with Haitians
